First Look: The Scribbler Trailer

The first trailer for the movie The Scribbler, based on the 2006 graphic novel by Daniel Schaffer has been released.  Check below the cut to watch and hear our thoughts.

According to imdb, The Scribbler is described as being about “A young woman is facing her destructive multiple personalities using an experimental new procedure known as “The Siamese Burn.'”

The trailer, looks pretty freaky, and if you hadn’t told me, I never would have guessed the lead role was being played by none other than Arrow‘s Kate Cassidy. I have to admit, I am really excited to see her do something other than Laurel.

It’s no secret Arrow‘s treatment of Laurel Lance, annoys the hell out of me. Originally, it seemed as she was just a romantic interest for Ollie, which turned into “I NEED vengeance against The Arrow”, which lead to pill popping alcoholic Laurel, which got resolved into “I want the best for everyone” Laurel WAAAY too quickly for my taste. Those of you how listen into the podcast have had to suffer through all my gripes, and know I have often expressed a wish to see the lovely Kate Cassidy do something, anything else. Before you say it, Taken doesn’t count because her role, while significantly smaller was just as useless as Laurel.

The movie also stars some names familiar in the realm of geekdom, such as Eliza Dusku (Buffy, Torchwood), Michelle Trachtenberg (Buffy), Kunal Nayyer (Big Bang Theory), Billy Campbell (Helix) among others.

So, what about you guys? Are you excited to see The Scribbler on the big screen? Or are you going to skip this one? Hit up the comments and let us know.
