Trip to the Comic Shop: Week of March 25th 2015

Every Wednesday, on her lunch break, EM saunters down to Forbidden Planet NYC, otherwise known as The Place of Pure Awesome, to pick up the week’s new comics. Click below to see what’s on the list of must grabs this week, and why.

Batman Eternal #51 (DC Comics)

Two More weeks!!! So deliciously close to the conclusion!

Django/Zorro #5 (Dynamite)

I mean Django AND Zorro? No brainer here.

Dream Police #6 (Image)

So I really like this title, but I feel like it dropped off the face of the earth for awhile. Excited to see it back.

Gotham Academy #6 (DC Comics)

Gotham Acadamy is just fun. There are very few DC titles that aren’t exclusively doom and gloom, it’s nice to see what’s happening with the new generation of Gotham, those who have never known a world without THE BAT! Plus Killer Croc!

Jem and the Holograms #1 (IDW)

I CAN NOT even begin to express how excited I am for this book!!! Not only was I obsessed with Jem when I was little, but also the comics are being written by  Kelly Thompson, who wrote Storykiller, which I am mildly obsessed with and you can be too. Buy it here.

Legendary Star-Lord #10 (Marvel Comics)

I’m a sucker for a Rouge pilot.

Princeless: The Pirate Princess #3 (Action Lab Comics)

Kickass princesses rescuing themselves, yup SO on board with that.

Wayward #6 (Image Comics)

It’s being called the new Buffy, which of course means I was bound to give it a try, and while don’t fully agree with that assessment, I am in love. The artwork is fantastic and the idea of a kickass teen girl fighting off supernatural evil, just warms the cockles of my heart.

The Wicked + The Divine #9 (Image)

It’s an interesting idea, of pop idols being ancient gods. Supernatural themes abound.

Wytches #5 (Image Comics)

SO behind on this title but still so excited about it.

Action Lab: 1

DC: 2

Dynamite: 1

Marvel: 1

IDW: 1

That’s what’s on my list, and for those of you not lucky enough to have a comic book shop nearby, I’ve included links to all my picks from Things From Another World, which has AMAZING service. So what are you picking up this week?
