Every Wednesday, on her lunch break, EM saunters down to Forbidden Planet NYC, otherwise known as The Place of Pure Awesome, to pick up the week’s new comics. Click below to see what’s on the list of must grabs this week, and why.
Arrow Season 2.5 #7 (DC Comics)
My Arrow Love knows no bounds, clearly reading a series that is dedicated to what happened in between seasons 2 & 3 is a no brainer for me.
Borderlands Fall of Fyrestone #8 (IDW Publishing)
Borderlands is one of the few games I enjoy enough to actually attempt to play, so continuing the adventures in a comic, which is more my form of entertainment anyway is exactly my kind of thing.
Bucky Barnes: The Winter Soldier #7 (Marvel Comics)
Still behind on this one, but not yet ready to give it up.
Convergence: Batgirl #1 (DC Comics)
So here’s where D.C. trys to take all my money with this “Convergence scheme”. I may not end up picking this one up but the fact that it features Stephanie Brown as Batgirl intrigued me enough to add it to the list.
Convergence: Harley Quinn #1 (DC Comics)
I will buy any Harley Quinn book.
Convergence: Nightwing/Oracle #1 (DC Comics)
Anyone who’s listened to me enough knows I have a deep seeded love for Dick Grayson. Guys, seriously give the Grayson series a chance, he’s a SPY! But I digress, not only do I love Dick Grayson, but also his relationship with Barbara Gordon, so this book will def make it into my stack for this week.
Convergence: Question #1 (DC Comics)
I want to see a GOOD version of Renee Montaya, not the riddiculous version Gotham has forced upon us. Am I definately going to pick this one up? Maybe not, but I am curious.
Howard the Duck #2 (Marvel Comics)
After Issue #1, of which you can read my thoughts here, this series is on my must buy list.
S.H.I.E.L.D. #4 (Marvel Comics)
Another semi tv tie in book, and as I’m sure you’ve noticed by now, I am a sucker for cross media comics.
TOTALS
DC: 5
IDW: 1
Marvel: 3
That’s what’s on my list, and for those of you not lucky enough to have a comic book shop nearby, I’ve included links to all my picks (unless unavailable) from Things From Another World, which has AMAZING service. So what are you picking up this week?
