Trip To The Comic Shop Week of May 13th 2015

Every Wednesday, on her lunch break, EM saunters down to Forbidden Planet NYC, otherwise known as The Place of Pure Awesome, to pick up the week’s new comics. Click below to see what’s on the list of must grabs this week, and why.

Arrow Season 2.5 #8 (DC Comics)

Extra Arrow? What’s not to love?

Doctor Who 9th Doctor #2 (Titan Comics)

Once again we have a continuation of another television show which I absolutely ADORE! More Nine is always welcome!

Howard the Duck #3 (Marvel Comics)

I LOVE this book. So random, so delightfully weird. Seriously go check it out!

Jem and the Holograms #3 (IDW Publishing)

This comic proves that Jem is still truly outrageous, truly, truly, truly outrageous, even after all these years.

Lady Killer #5 (Dark Horse Comics)

We are (Sadly) coming to the end of this AWESOME book. If you haven’t picked it up yet you are missing out, a 50’s/60’s era housewife who is also a deadly assassin? Come on no brainer here!

Legendary Star-Lord #12 (Marvel Comics)

As stated many times before, I am a sucker for a rouge space pilot.

Ms. Marvel #15 (Marvel Comics)

I ADORE this series more than I can ever express. It’s cute and quirky and brilliantly down to earth, well as down to earth as a super powered book can be.

Silk #4 (Marvel Comics)

I mean Marvel is just KILLING it with lady super hero books, and I couldn’t be happier. Silk is a fantastic book, and you should be reading it!

Thor #8 (Marvel Comics)

We FINALLY know who Thor is!!!! Where do we go from here? I, for one can’t wait to find out.

Dark Horse: 1

DC: 1

IDW: 1

Marvel: 5

Titan: 1

That’s what’s on my list, although I guarantee that will change once I’m actually there.

Fangirls Guide To Galaxy Handbook For Girl Geeks HC

I have been looking forward to this book for what feels like forever, written by former The Mary Sue Editor Sam Maggs.

For those of you not fortunate enough to have a comic book shop nearby, I’ve included links to all my picks (unless unavailable) from Things From Another World, which has AMAZING service. So what are you picking up this week?
