12 Days of Nerdy Entrepreneurs – RockLove Jewelry
RockLove Jewelry is basically my jeweler. And by “my” I mean, practically every piece I wear daily, Allison made. Back in 2011, at our first NYCC, we stumbled upon Rock Love Jewelry’s booth and I fell in love. At that time, none of the nerdy collections had been made. I fell in love with a tiny pistol on a small ball chain and was hooked. The next year I bought the White Queen from her Chess collection. The next year, an Arrow Ring and pair of earrings. And so on and so on.

‘Outlander’ actor and director to join ‘Underworld: Next Generation’
Tobias Menzies is popularly known amongst the Outlander fans as loving husband Frank Randall and a complete-180-evil-villain Black Jack Randall. Menzies’s portrayal of both characters has been stunning to say the least. A performance that, while just as wonderful, would have lacked an intimacy and emotion that director Anna Foerster brought to the table. The Outlander season one finale which was directed by Foerster (as well as several of the fan-favorite episodes such as ‘The Wedding’) saw Menzies villainous Black Jack sexually assault the show’s hero. Tough stuff to act and direct.

Paley Fest LA LIVE STREAM EST Times Announced!
Paley Fest has been something that we have paid attention to for years now. Occasionally we get lucky enough to have a NY version, but for the most part they happen on the other side of the continent. BUT, The Paley Center for Media offers us the gift of a live stream of events from LA. Generally these panels wind up on the youtube or are available for purchase, but how fun would it be to watch live from the East as folks chat about their show in the West?
